About Vígundr

Vígundr is an Old Norse music creation by Mary Anlezark.

In the making since 2018, her first ablum is set to debut this year in 2024.

The name 'Vígundr' in the simplest translation is 'temple of battle' in a heathen sense. The understanding of the name reaches deeper, the temple being the body with all that is connected to it, and the battle relating to the spiritual war we encounter as we journey through humanity.

Vigundr aims to raise the levels of vibration from deep within, so that you may feel deeply connected with what was long ago, awakening the primal connection to nature, our ancestors and to spirit.

Using the Old Norse language, a variety of vocalization and powerful drums, Vígundr aims to remind us that music is a portal to the infinite- and that we all have a connection to it.
